What’s better than the World Cup? The World Cup + Gambling of course :)
We’re having a Middle Park World Cup Special down at the club on Thursday 5th June after training.
Join you host, Mr SS Houghton, indulge in Brazil themed drinks and snacks, and get involved in two opportunities to rake it in (and support the club, at the same time):
World Cup Auction
Bid as much as you like on your own (or as a group) to secure your favoured team or teams.
It’s unbridled capitalism at it’s worst, every team must go, you can have as many as you like, every $ will go into a pot and the proceeds divided as follows:
Winner – 35%
Runner up – 10%
Third – 5%
Worst – 10%
So, if like at the Euros in 2012 there’s over $1500 in the pot… the winners will walk away with $525, if there’s over $3000 then it’ll be more than a grand.
Plus, this is one the Aussies could actually win :)
World Cup Tipping
Mr Danny Penfold has come up with a ripper of a tipping contest which we’ll run throughout the tournament.
Simply guess the winners & scores of games in advance, using this awesome World Cup Tipping Template (1 point for result, 3 points for correct score), and you’ll score points accordingly throughout the tournament.
$40 entry fee, same prize breakdown as the auction… which should give Webster a chance at victory, of a sort, too :)
More information on the night… you’ve gotta be in it to win it so make sure you are down and able to hang around for an hour or so after training.
