New coach for 2016, Dave Helen, made his mark in pre-season by demanding improved fitness, attitude and attendance. Dave missed the first game to attend a wedding.   • A representation of our very own MPFC junior U13 and U14 teams attended the Boys FC – pre-season 7-a-side tournament held by Football Federation Victoria in Bendigo during March this year. The teams played 6 matches over 2 days against other teams from all over Victoria in perfect football playing conditions. There were many determined faces, goals scored and lots of laughter and fun. Coaches Charlie and Craig were very extremely proud of the teams’ effort and achievements. The players enjoyed themselves immensely as summed up by one of them, Sander O’Kelly: “how much better can you get it, playing heaps of football and spending all weekend with your mates”.
