Child Safety Officers and Code of Conduct

Middle Park Football Club is committed to having and maintaining a culture of safety for all involved in the club in particular, safety as it relates to our child members.

Further to this, we have implemented a new Child Safety Policy & Code of Conduct in line with the new Child Safety Standards legislation. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with the content in the Code of Conduct. In short, all coaches, parents and volunteers are responsible to ensure a safe environment for children while engaged in Club activities. This means there is a legal obligation to report any incidents suspected or real at the club or elsewhere eg at home or at school which need to be investigated and, if required, reported to authorities.

Coaches and parents play an important role in this so everyone’s support is needed.

The Code of Conduct we adopted is modelled on the Code suggested by Football Federation Victoria and can be downloaded here.
